This isn't really a interview more or less a Q&A. You could class is as a short interview. Pippin reached out to Jessica Chisum Reese in 2019. Jessica is a voice actress notable for her video game roles in the Nintendo games Mario Golf 64 and Mario Tennis 64.
As far as we are aware Jen Taylor the 2nd voice of Princess Peach starting in 1999 and Jessica Chisum did voice-over in Seattle, Washington, USA during the 90s.
This interview took place before the COVID-19 pandemic. Pippin thought she was the voice of Princess Daisy, so as Pip is a fan of Daisy. Pip decided to ask Jessica what it was like voicing Princess Daisy. But it turns out that Jessica did not actually voice Daisy.
Jessica had confirmed that the voice of Daisy in Mario Tennis 64 actually belongs to Kate Fleming, better known as Anna Fields. Kate also worked within that Seattle VO agency.
Jessica voiced Birdo, Nina and Sherry for Nintendo. While being interviewed Jessica's profile changes, because she had not used the social media account for quite a while. Is no longer a red head, but instead now has black hair. That is for anyone who doesn't understand. Hopefully one day someone will reach out to Jessica and ask for a podcast interview? You know if anyone ever thinks of doing a documentary of Camelot Software Planning's Mario Tennis or Mario Golf video games?
Please know that Pippin couldn't remember what he asked Jessica. This is from 2019. Since then he doesn't remember how to log back into the social media website where he asked her questions because it was linked to another email that he no longer has access to. So we are unable to get the full transcript.
Popcorn K did post some of the transcript on Tumblr. But since leaving Tumblr did delete most of the posts. If you wonder why Popcorn K left Tumblr it was because of the the perversion on there. The users on Tumblr are not normal, a majority of them are perverts. Making it not a very safe place to run a blog. But here on this website it is very safe. You won't have people hitting you up or hitting on you, which is what Popcorn K had to deal with while trying to represent Pip's gaming channel.
Jessica's responses to Pippin will be highlighted in a hot pink font as a reference to Birdo, a character she played in Mario Tennis.
Jessica introduces herself and said that it had been a while since she had played any old video games.
Yes, I am a VO artist. I assume you mean my Mario Golf and Mario Tennis credits. It has been a while since I have played the old games. But it is my recollection that they mixed our voices up a bit.
Jessica states that her voices in the video games were mixed up. She says that some of Plum's voice files and some of Princess Peach's are her recordings. For those that don't know about this confusion here is a little story. Maple was originally known as Plum and she was going to be related to Princess Peach. However Camelot removed this and they switched Plum and Maple's names.
And Azalea was going to be related to Princess Daisy. Because Camelot Software Planning removed the family relations. Peach and Daisy are not related to Azalea and Plum. That was a concept, which possibly was rejected by Nintendo.
For instance, some of Plum's phrases are mine, some of Princess Peach's etc.
She then goes on to say how she obtained the roles of the Nintendo characters.
I was just starting out for voice-over when I was chosen for those games. I remember the producer was in Japan and listened to our voices over the phone as we recorded.
Jessica then goes on to tell a little secret that nobody knows. All the voice-over artists were asked to record "bizarre and inappropriate" phrases for the characters. Which apparently did not make the cut.
Also I remember we recorded some very bizarre and inappropriate phrases for the characters. Just in case they wanted to add them as a Easter Egg.
Jessica stated that she credits Jen Taylor and Kate Fleming for the role of Princess Peach. What she meant to say was Jen for Peach and Kate for Daisy.
Hi, I know it is very confusing. I would definitely give credits for Princess Peach to Jen Taylor and Kate Fleming as Princess Peach, they were cast originally as those roles and it might have been an accident that our voices were mixed up.
The confusion is that some of Jessica's sound files were used for other characters from what she recalls.
I think most of those characters are their voices. I don't think I should be credited as Princess Daisy, that sounds like a mistake.
Jessica then confirms that she voiced Birdo. She couldn't really remember the other characters. But after a check. She actually did voice Plum, Sherry, Birdo and Nina. However she cannot remember the characters. And due to the confusion of Plum being related to Peach originally that adds more controversy. But if you listen to the recordings you can hear those characters are voiced by Jessica.
I did voice Birdo, but not sure about Nina. Also Sherry I think?
Jessica then said she would go on YouTube and verify the characters she played as she could not remember who she voiced and who she did not.
There would be no true way to verify but I can go on YouTube and listen so I can clear a few things up.
Jessica asks if anyone had put together a video so she could verify. And was later given a link.
Do you know if anyone has put together a video with all the video clips from the Mario characters? That would help.
Jessica then told Pippin that it was Princess Daisy that he was interested in. And that she is sure that he knows that Kate died.
It sounds like it's really Princess Daisy you are interested in. I'm sure you know Kate Fleming died. There is actually an abstract art statue dedicated to her memory in my neighborhood here in Seattle. I could take a picture of it for you.
Daisy's voice file from Mario Tennis was sent to Jessica Chisum. She agreed that it was not her voice. So the voice in Mario Tennis for Daisy is Kate Fleming.
Pippin said "here is Princess Daisy from that game on YouTube" and sent the link to Jessica. And she was thanked for clearing up what she told Pippin.
Yes I can confirm that is Kate Fleming. So sad. I met her a few times, great person, and very talented!
Jessica also updated her profile to Jessica Chisum Reese and she also confirmed that she did not voice Azalea. She listened to Azalea and also confirmed that Azalea was voiced by Kate Fleming.
Nope not Azalea. But that's me as Nina, the one. Oh yes, Azalea sounds like Kate Fleming to me.
In the Nintendo video game, Jessica is credited as Jessica Chism. If you would like to know more about Jessica Chisum she did some amazing interviews on Live Girls! Theater. You can read her playwright spotlight interview from 2017 here, and her 2018 spotlight here.
Jessica has a great voice. And hopefully she will return to voicing characters in video games or in cartoons? The "Sherry" voice she can do is perfect for cartoons and games.
Here is Kate Fleming who provided the original voice for Princess Daisy and Azalea in Mario Tennis and Mario Golf. She was better known as Kathryn Ann Fleming and was married to Charlene Strong. Sadly Kate died by drowning in a flash flood in her recording studio in 2006. You can read her story here in the Seattle news titled Audiobook Star Killed in Basement Flood. RIP!
Check out how many video game "Easter Eggs" secrets have been found in this video here. People seem to notice a lot of "Easter Egg" material. Yet have not noticed this same running "symbol" gag in video games for decades!? Tekken, Tomb Raider, Super Mario Bros., Disgaea, The Legend of Zelda, Sonic the Hedgehog, The Simpsons, Final Fantasy, Fortnite and Splatoon. Everything is run by the "pyramid" but to see this in every brand we cherish and love and support is quite concerning. What do you think is the end game to all this? Fame and fortune? You decide. The "darkness" masked as "light" will have its time but looking into this now is obviously not the time. But when that time comes it will hit hard. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
People have to acknowledge just what they are bowing before instead of "illuminating" things and making it seem as there is nothing really going on when there is.
This is not about bashing this is more about not deceiving and not acknowledging what people are supporting. When you buy a movie or video game you are indirectly supporting this. So people who complain "you" too are guilty of supporting the 👁⃤ scheme.
Understand that it will never be the "eye" of God. It is the eye of Satan. Satan is the current "God" of the world. Understand? Anyone who doesn't understand is merely idiotic or is possibly taking no notice. Evil eye? Comprende? No matter how much "they" mask it. Today we are fully aware.
God made it clear that he "no longer" looks down on Earth. If he had, he would have sent fireballs down and reenacted Sodom and Gomorrah. So no. That is not God's eye. And yes, everyone with sense is aware. So when they say that is "God's eye" looking down on them. It is not.
Didn't the Ancient Egyptians used to use an "eye" symbol for their false Gods? Ask yourselves who later would go on to use that symbol in more modern times? It only takes a little research.
People are that brainy that as of 2021, we know pretty much everything that is going on. But people as we can see are "brainless sheep" and will follow the shepherd.
If you understand the context. You will understand that these hidden secrets in video games have been hidden for years and each and every game has the same goal. Mostly to prove there is no God or that "evil" will prevail only but for a 👁⃤ based-hero or heroine with an "agenda" fueled goal to smite the enemy.
When it comes to 👁⃤ , lying and deceiving is the #1 goal. To "illuminate" is the best way to cover-up and or brainwash people.
Now that we have covered this. Will you still support these brands? Yes you will. And you will conform and learn to adapt. By 2030 if you still have not guessed what has been going on in this world for decades, you will eventually understand.
We posted this to make people understand that it is not only in the movies. It is your favorite video games and video game characters. Know that the 👁⃤ is very powerful.
The famous quote from Satoru Iwata the fourth president and chief executive officer the CEO of Nintendo who died in 2015 stated: "I don’t think it’s reasonable to make someone pay for a game and then prepare a network connection and charge a monthly fee." doesn't seem to have phased Nintendo one bit.
In the past Nintendo Online was a free service. Initially when the Nintendo Switch made its debut it was free to go online. Imagine paying for the video games, and your own Internet connection then having to pay Nintendo on top of that?
Also the Nintendo video games are not cheap and they rarely drop in price thanks to Nintendo fanboys. Nintendo fanboys are the typical lardo-types who will buy anything Nintendo related regardless of price. They're the types who get angry when you "see things" for what they are.
It later came out that the first Nintendo Switch released didn't have good hardware. Which is weird how the Dreamcast by SEGA flopped due to the high price range but the Nintendo Switch prevailed.
You can't really blame the era. Because for the Dreamcast era, that was considered the new graphics of its time. However SEGA did have competition with Nintendo and PlayStation back then, nowadays SEGA is no longer in the running and are practically defunct but still trying to make money with the Sonic the Hedgehog series.
Satoru Iwata died before the Nintendo Switch launched. So we'll never really know if he as CEO could have made that decision for free online gaming. But when the Switch launched it was initially free for one year. Nintendo saw that Sony and Microsoft were doing it so they decided to join in.
Nintendo fanboys will often lie and claim that "it is too expensive" forgetting how rich of a company Nintendo is. And how they were able to run free online gaming for the Wii and Wii U. People who make excuses are sickening and only promote "money making" schemes.
Another blatant lie by Nintendo is that Switch game cartridges are more expensive to produce than Blu-rays employed by other formats and that is why they are so expensive. It is claimed the cost of the cartridge depends on the size of the game, with 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB cards available.
If that is so. Why are the virtual downloaded games from the direct Nintendo store the exact same price if not higher than the game cartidges sold in stores?
Here is an interview with a married Japanese woman in her 30's, who is a gamer that has been gaming since she was a little girl. She would consider herself a Japanese housewife. She goes by the name Nako and or Nakko. Nako-chan to most. Her responses will be highlighted in purple.
Hello there. How would you like to introduce yourself?
Hi! I’m Nakko. Of course I love games. I love difficult and challenging games like Dark Souls and games with inspiring stories! And, I also love taking pictures in the game. I learned important things in life from games.
How long have you been gaming, and what got you into video games?
I've been playing games since kindergarten, so maybe it's been about 30 years. The reason was that my cousin liked games. He always had a new game. So I was envious.
What is your favorite video game?
My favorite game is Dark Souls. My favorite Indie game is Papers, Please. Besides these, I like The Legend of Zelda series and Assassin’s Creed series. I can't write here!
Who is your favorite video game character?
Yoshi! You know, of course, right? He is a Nintendo character.
Do you prefer female video game protagonists or male video game protagonists?
I like the gender that suits the story of the game. Gender discrimination is never tolerated, but there is also a story that a white man is suitable as the main character. Of course, there is also a story in which a black woman is suitable as the main character. What I mean is that you don't want the story or world of the game to go crazy.
What is the first video game console you played?
Family computer.
Which video game company do you support? SEGA? PlayStation? Xbox? Nintendo?
I especially like Nintendo, but basically I'm concerned about whether the game is interesting, so the makers don't really care.
What video game consoles do you currently own?
PlayStation 1, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation
4, PSP, PSP Vita, SFC, DS, 3DS, N64, Wii,Wii U, Nintendo Switch.
What soon to be released video games are you going to buy in 2021?

Do you play any Western video games? For example American video games?
Of course!
What is your favorite video game genre? Example would be RPG? Action? Simulation? Visual Novel?
I like, ACT, ADV, point & click, SLG, puzzle, rhythm, rogue-like.
The next questions to follow will ask Nakko what she thinks of specific games in the Western market.
Have you ever heard of the Fable series? What do you think of it?
I've never heard of it.
What do you think of the Tomb Raider series, featuring Lara Croft? A game originally created by Core Design, which has lost its appeal since Square Enix took over Crystal Dynamics and rebooted it and changed everything.
I've never played it.
What do you think of The Sims? Have you ever played The Sims by EA Games?
I love SIMS! I have been playing this game since The Sims 1. It's fun to make money and build your ideal home! I'm happy when I'm thinking about the interior.
Are you asking which of the two you like? I like Mario!
Are there any video games that you dislike?
The recent Atelier series. After the company changed its main target to men, I didn't like it anymore. A game with many bugs even though it doesn't have a complicated system.
Thank you for your time. It was a pleasure to interview you. ~
